1st Annual Parkesburg Waiter Race

Approximately 35 wait staffers will compete in a timed event covering a one mile course. The racers will carry a tray with a glass of water, an empty coffee cup and a croissant. Time penalties will be awarded by a panel of judges for: spilled water, dropped items, a wet croissant, using two hands at one time, running and other rule infractions. The community will line the sidewalks and encourage their favorite racers on.

This is a family event; cussing, spitting, dirty looks, tripping, shoving and unsportsmanlike conduct will incur a time penalty. However, disparaging remarks and smack talk directed at an opponent are encouraged.
